INDUSTRIALISATION OF LOW-COST BIOCLIMATIC RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES

INDUSTRIALISATION OF LOW-COST BIOCLIMATIC RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES

The agreed objective pursued by this project is to promote an innovative technological development that permits the construction of low-cost bioclimatic residential properties through the industrialisation of their components. This project includes three conceptually different parallel lines of research, which are complementary in nature with a view to ensuring optimum achievement of the project objectives.

Sub-project 1: Industrialised façades

This line of action is dedicated principally to the research and development of a technology that can be specified in the optimised development of an industrialised low-cost building façade with exceptional bioclimatic performance. The expected result is one or more optimised prototypes of these elements, both from the perspective of energy efficiency in all its aspects (thermal behaviour, life-cycle analysis of its components, possibility of reusing and recycling...) and costs (costs of manufacturing, transporting and commissioning).

Sub-project 2: Industrialised roofs

The aim of this sub-project is to develop a technology that can be specified in the optimised development of an industrialised low-cost roof, which could become a key element in the generation and distribution of energy. The expected result is the development of an industrialised system of energy-efficient roofing.

Sub-project 3: Energy systems

The aim of this sub-project is to develop a technology that can be specified in the optimised development of efficient low-cost systems for the generation and distribution of both renewable and conventional energy, and the technical/economic viability as regards standard coupling with other elements in the building (façades, roofs, frames...). The expected result is the development of an optimised industrialised system for the generation and production of energy for the type of buildings analysed.
