Designed according to the functional requirements of the social housing, without renouncing to a high quality architecture

The same criteria of functionality and design is applied in the four blocks that compose this project. The two located north of the plot differ from the ones in the south on the porch open to the pedestrian plaza and the existence of commercial premises. Likewise, these ones do not have attic, exhausting its maximum leseable area in the bottom.

The desing is born from a scheme in which all homes have dual orientation, with the living rooms and kitchens oriented to the south. The living units in the ground floor also have a private garden. The day and night areas are clearly distinguished from each other, same as the servant and served spaces, minimizing the floor area of the corridors and and providing the maximum space for cabinets and storage.

In terms of composition, the volumetry is adapted to the ground level. The blocks of the south have a regular design, where the portals are repeated with the only exception of the houses with terrace. In the north oriented ones, the same rhythm is repeated until reaching the corners, where an independent piece relates to the attic and the interior of the square.

In the end, the buildings are distributed according to the functional requirements of the social housing, without renouncing the achievement of a quality architectural proposal.
