OPTIMIZATION OF THE DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF VENTILATED FACADES TO IMPROVE THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF BUILDINGS
The building façade has traditionally been considered a passive element that must meet certain performances criteria such as to serve as the exchange layer between the interior and exterior environment. In recent years, the use of the façade as an active element has been pursued; its operation is dynamic depending on the conditions of the building’s use and the weather conditions.
This project aims to develop a method to assist in the design and management of an active façade, considering its impact on the overall energy performance of a building.
