Zarautz, in green and blue. Nature imposes its presence and is a continuous point of reference to urban life.

Nowadays, Zarautz has a natural clearly definable limit to the east which is the river. Far from turning into a fine dividing line, it exerts a sphere of influence which acquires a significantly changing width dependent on its relative position upon it’s course from south to north.

The proposal validates the green corridor of the river. The proposed order structure separates from the regatta, emphasizing the width of its sphere of influence, establishing in this way a continuity of the natural countryside open to the sea. A park is being created which preserves the image of enveloping nature. In this scheme, water channels, wooded areas, and marshalnds are interspersed with other less cultivated features. All of this makes up the backdrop against which the complex and rewarding activities of the future business park will be played out, in the open of a natural environment where public and private space is qualified.
