Two aluminum and glass blocks define the appearance of the office building in Fontajau

Instead of concentrating the entire construction in a single large block, the presence of the building has been minimised by spreading the office space over two parallel buildings, with direct and independent pedestrian entrances from the street. The blocks are separated by a large square that welcomes the public and staff coming up from the parking facilities. In the square there is a glass pavilion that covers the gym and swimming pool hidden below ground level. The square is designed to be a place of rest and relaxation, surrounded by trees, where the people working in the buildings can get together. The office storeys have been organised with a view to ensuring the greatest flexibility, therefore the lift cores are located at the edges, freeing the interior surface completely of obstacles. The two aluminium and glass blocks that define the appearance of the office building in Fontajau are barely 40% of the built volume. Below ground level we find the gym and three levels of parking.
