Plentzia Marine Station

The program is divided into three functional areas that correspond to the three main floors of the Sanatorium. The marine biology experimentation service includes an aquarium facility with experimental units, a quarantine area, a nursery, an office area, and a specimen bank, among other technical facilities. This department is located on the lower ground floor with seawater, freshwater, and air supplies, ensuring a high level of atmospheric control.

On the ground floor, the building's entrance level, is the teaching department known as the "Uribe Kosta" university seminary, which includes offices, a conference area, laboratories, and the building's reception area. The first floor houses the marine ecosystem health research laboratories, a small library, and other auxiliary spaces.
